I am happy to post that I have a new site for my design portfolio. All hand coded with HTML 5 and CSS, it was built with a 'mobile-first' approach and is responsive to desktop and smartphone viewing. Check it out with the link below.

Brushing up on PHP
I decided to finally get a handle on PHP and as I tell anyone who would listen, you can learn anything by going to YouTube and searching for it. I did a search for PHP for beginners (beginners actually was auto-filled) and I found a decent tutorial series that started training from scratch. I am already working with Apache (thanks XAMMP) and creating basic PHP scripts with Notepad++. There is so many free tutorials out there that you could sharpen any web design skill. Of course you have to weed through some medicore videos but hey at least it's free! Here's the series I'm watching:
